Jim Albertson PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Jim is a Physical Therapist, Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. He has been a PT since 2019, graduating from Samuel Merritt University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to starting PT school, he worked as a personal trainer, CrossFit coach, and PT aide. He is a Bay Area native, having lived in Pleasant Hill for most of his life. He graduated from College Park High School in 2008, where he was a varsity athlete in both wrestling and swimming. He then went to DVC for two years and later transferred to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and continued swimming through his years at DVC and CMU, where he earned Academic All-American Honors his senior year.
Following his last swim meet, he became very involved in CrossFit and the strength and conditioning world. This, combined with his degree in exercise science, fueled a love and passion for improving movement and performance for himself and his athletes. He followed that passion to PT school and then eventually to MaxPerformGO, where he is excited to help you on the path to your goals, whether they be returning to high-level sports performance or simply wanting to make movement throughout life easier.
In his free time, he is very active, but also strives for a balance between activity and relaxation. He started practicing Jiu Jitsu in August 2023 and has remained very active in the weight room, as well as enjoying hiking, biking, and being out in the sun. He also enjoys trying out new recipes, progressing through my reading list, spending time with his family, and watching my favorite sports like football and baseball. He is excited to work with you and help you achieve your physical therapy and fitness goals!

Ryan Calhoon CMT
Ryan Calhoon
CMT
Ryan has spent his seven-year career developing his own style of massage based on the psychological term subconscious tension. This technique takes into account the stress and pain caused by abnormal posture, physical trauma, and repetitive motions. It works to find and release the mental and emotional tension associated with areas of physical pain in the body.
Ryan draws inspiration from various Western modalities, such as trigger point therapy, myofascial massage, sports massage, and Eastern techniques, such as Lomi Lomi, Tui Na, and Reiki. He creates a unique, versatile, and individually curated experience for his clients.
As much as Ryan is an expert in relaxation and deep tissue therapy, his keen sense for finding the tension and effectively releasing it makes him incredible at massage for rehabilitation and injury management.
Ryan was born and raised in the Bay Area, but he studied massage therapy in Oregon at East West College of the Healing Arts. When he’s not working, Ryan uses his creativity to make music and films.
